On November 28th, H.E. Dr. Yue Xiaoyong, Chinese ambassador to Ireland attended the annual meeting of the Ireland China Business Association (ICBA). In his speech, Ambassador Yue highly praised new growth of China-Ireland relations. He recalled fresh achievements in the fields of high level exchanges, economy, trade, education, science and technology, culture and tourism in the past year. He thanked friends and partners for their contributions especially those attending the first China International Import Expo (CIIE). He sincerely hopes that both sides will continue to deepen cooperation and work together in the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2019.

  

H.E. Mr. Eoin O'Leary, Irish Ambassador to China, delivered a video message from Beijing at the ICBA annual meeting. In his message, Ambassador O'Leary spoke highly of the new development of China-Ireland relations in 2018, including frequent high-level visits and exchanges, launching of direct flights between the two countries and Irish beef exports to China. He expects even greater results achieved in the new year by working with the Chinese side in a deeper and bigger way.

ICBA was established in 2000 to explore opportunities and identify key areas of potential cooperation between Chinese and Irish companies.
