Ambassador Yue Attends "China in My Eyes" Teenagers Painting Competition

On November 25th, H.E. Dr. Yue Xiaoyong, Chinese Ambassador to Ireland attended the awarding ceremony of 2018 “China in My Eyes” Teenagers Painting Competition in Dublin.

In his praise, Ambassador Yue spoke highly of the teenagers’ paintings featuring various Chinese elements including Chinese architecture, Opera masks and Chinese high speed train in the competition. The Ambassador encouraged them to visit China and get the firsthand experience of China’s Reform and Opening-up in the New Era and Chinese people’s hospitality.

Ambassador Yue pointed out that young people are the future of China-Ireland relations. The seeds of friendship sown in youth will pass our bilateral friendship on from generation to generation.

More than 200 Irish teenagers participated in this competition, which is endorsed by the Chinese Embassy and organized by UCD Confucius Institute.
