Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong Speaks at 5th ICBA Annual Dinner

On 29th November 2017, Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong attended the 5th ICBA Annual Dinner at Westbury Hotel in Dublin. In his speech, Ambassador Yue shared his perspectives on the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, which had just been successfully concluded in Beijing in October. The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for efforts by Ireland China Business Association (ICBA) to facilitate and increase two-way trade and investment between Ireland and China.

Among the over 200 people in attendance at the event were Mr. Terence O’Rourke, Chairman of Enterprise Ireland (EI), Mr. Frank Ryan, Chairman of Industrial Development Agency (IDA), Mr. Tim Mawe, Director of Asia Pacific Unit, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr. Brendan Halligan, President of Institute of International and European Affairs (IIEA), Ms. Susan Barrett, Chairperson of ICBA, Mr. Ken Duggen, Chairman of Ireland China Institute (ICI), and counsellors from the Chinese Embassy in Ireland, Madam Yang Hua and Madam Xue He.
